The Buffalo Bills signed a name that might be familiar to long-tenured members of Bills Mafia.
Ahead of the first round of the playoffs, the Bills signed cornerback Daryl Porter Jr. To the practice squad.
His father, the original Daryl Porter, played for the Bills during an eight-year NFL career.

The highlight of Porter's Bills tenure came on Nov. 12, 2000. That day, in a win over the Chicago Bears, he both intercepted a pass and returned a fumble for a touchdown.
Interestingly, the very next week, he had a 44-yard catch, his only reception of his NFL career.
Porter played three seasons for the Bills, 34 games total.
He also played for the Titans and Lions after being a sixth-round draft pick of the Steelers in 1997.

Porter Jr. Was an undrafted free agent in the 2025 class out of Miami. He was with the Bills in their offseason program but then spent most of the year on the Steelers' practice squad.
He made his NFL debut on Dec. 21 against the Lions.
Porter Jr. Is also the cousin of former NFL wide receiver Santana Moss.
The Bills won't be planning on using Porter Jr. Much, if at all, during the playoffs. But cornerback is likely the thinnest spot on their entire depth chart, and so Porter Jr. Will have to stay ready in case he's needed.
