Bills sending Keon Coleman 'warning' over benching claims former WR image

Buffalo Bills receiver Keon Coleman was a healthy scratch for the team's 44-32 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 11, as Josh Allen and the offense rolled to a win.

That was a statement, and there are rumors swirling on social media that ahead of tonight's game against the Houston Texans, Coleman could once again be sitting on the sidelines.

Given that fellow receivers Mecole Hardman and Curtis Samuel are also out, if the Bills sit Coleman, that sends a powerful message.

And here comes former NFL receiver and two-time All-Pro Chad Johnson (Ochocinco) on Inside The NFL, and his thoughts on the Bills benching Coleman last week.

"Your time is ticking,” Johnson said. “When you’re an important piece, a valuable piece of an offense and they know they, need you, and they can actually have you sit out a whole game and then have a game like that and be as productive as they were offensively, it’s a sign that they don’t need you. They giving you a warning.”

Will Coleman play vs. The Texans?

We haven't seen anything official yet, but NFL Network's Ian Rapoport posted on X that the Bills have placed Hardman on IR, and elevated receiver Gabe Davis and tight end Keleki Latu for the Texans game, so what that means for Keon is unknown.

But there are a host of rumors that Keon will be out for tonight's game, and that would send a big message to the second-year receiver.

Granted, it was a short week, so we aren't sure exactly how much Kron could have done to put himself back in the good graces of his team, but things aren't going too well for Coleman right now.

And if the Bills' offense has another superb outing with Coleman benched, then maybe Johnson's comments on the offense not needing him might just be true.
