They weren't helped by the refs, though.
The New England Patriots were the beneficiaries of what appeared to be a missed call on a deep pass from Drake Maye to Kayshon Boutte.

The ball definitely bounces a bit off the ground before settling in Boutte's hands.
CBS ref analyst Gene Steratore joined the broadcast after commercial and said it shouldn't have been a catch.
Ironically, on the next Bills drive, Brandin Cooks had a catch overturned very quickly by replay assist.
But replay assist hadn't come into play on that Boutte catch, for whatever reason.
