Josh Allen didn't practice either of the first two days of the official practice week for the Buffalo Bills. It was shaping up like he'd miss Week 18 against the New York Jets and rest up for the playoffs.
The expectation changed on Friday, though.
Bills head coach Sean McDermott hopped on WGR-AM local radio on Friday morning and revealed that Allen will practice on Friday and be "good to go" on Sunday.
Would the Bills actually play Allen like usual in this Week 18 contest?
Technically, Buffalo can rise one or two wild card spots, but no higher. The Bills will be going on the road in the first round of the playoffs no matter what.
If the teams above the Bills also won in Week 18, Buffalo wouldn't move up even with a victory.

Allen's health, of course, is paramount.
A season ago, the Bills started Allen in Week 18 just to extend his consecutive games started streak, and then he jogged off the field after literally just the one snap.
This time around, McDermott hasn't given away what the full plan for Allen is, just that he has healed up nicely.
On paper, the Bills could probably beat the Jets even with Mitchell Trubisky starting at quarterback. So if the win feels that important, it's key to remember that Trubisky is a better QB than the Jets' undrafted rookie Brady Cook.
Fans may not get to find out exactly what's happening with Allen until Sunday's game gets underway.
But it's interesting for the Bills to have taken Allen from a pair of DNPs to a guy who is ready for Sunday in a game that might not mean all that much.
