The Buffalo Bills are getting set to take on the Cleveland Browns in Week 16, hoping to avoid being the team that helps Myles Garrett break the single-season sack record. Additionally, with a win and a New England Patriots loss to the Baltimore Ravens, the Bills would get back to a tie for first place in the AFC East - a position they haven't held since losing to the Patriots in Week 5.
Buffalo added to its roster in somewhat flashy fashion ahead of Week 16, signing former Patriots and Miami Dolphins edge rusher Matthew Judon after he was released by Miami. Judon is a four-time Pro Bowler, and recorded 15.5 sacks back in 2022 with the Patriots. He was drafted in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft out of Grand Valley State.
On top of signing Judon, the Bills released a defender to make a spot for him. Buffalo released veteran defensive lineman Morgan Fox. Fox appeared in just one game for the Bills this season in Week 14 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Prior to 2025, he played in all 17 games in four consecutive seasons for the Los Angeles Chargers and Carolina Panthers.
The moves give the Bills a potential four-man rotation of Joey Bosa, Greg Rousseau, Judon, and A.J. Epenesa going into the postseason, which would make for one of the deepest edge rusher groups in the NFL.
