Bills receive bad injury news on star pass-catcher ahead of Week 11 image

The Buffalo Bills are in as close to must-win territory as a team can be in Week 11. Two games behind the Patriots in the AFC East, Buffalo can't afford to lose to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers - a team New England just beat.

Buffalo had a notable list of injuries listed on Wednesday, the most notable being wide receiver Khalil Shakir - the only receiver who consistently produces for the Bills. He didn't practice Wednesday, but returned Thursday. However, it was in a non-contact jersey.

"Bills WR Khalil Shakir remained in a non-contact jersey on Thursday, but practiced," Joe Buscaglia reports. "He’s listed with ankle and ribs injuries."

While it is great that Shakir is practicing, what isn't great is that he's dealing with multiple injuries. We saw last season against the Houston Texans what Buffalo's offense looks like without Shakir - it's not good. In that game, Josh Allen went 9-of-30 for 131 yards.

With the Bills facing a terrific offense in the Buccaneers, a team that also has a strong defense, the Bills would be even more limited than what they already are offensively - something they can't afford if they want to win and keep pace with the Patriots in the AFC East race.
