The Buffalo Bills fell to the Philadelphia Eagles in dramatic fashion to close out the afternoon slate of Week 17. Trailing 13-0, the Bills seemed poised to complete another comeback. Josh Allen ran for a touchdown from a yard out, but Michael Badgley missed the extra point, so the Eagles held onto a seven-point lead. Buffalo then scored a touchdown with less than 10 seconds remaining and opted to go for two, where Allen led Khalil Shakir too far and the pass fell incomplete, leading to the Eagles winning 13-12.
Earlier in the game, though, Allen seemed to aggravate a foot injury that he suffered in Week 16 against the Cleveland Browns. And while he didn't miss any time, he did get an x-ray on the injury.
"Bills QB Josh Allen just limped into the X-ray room with head athletic trainer Nate Breske," Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN reports.
Getzenberg followed up with a post saying Allen came out of the x-ray room with "nothing new" on his foot.
Allen has notoriously never missed a start since taking over as the team's starter in 2018. While it's doubtful that he misses a start, the injury is one to monitor.
The Bills will face the New York Jets in Week 18, in what is the final regular season game in the history of Highmark Stadium. Considering that the Bills will be a wild card team, it's very likely that next week is the last game ever played in the long-time home of the Bills.
