The Buffalo Bills are getting a key player back for their divisional-round game against the Denver Broncos and it is none other than defensive tackle Ed Oliver.

Oliver suffered a torn biceps injury midway through the season, and while he was expected to not return at all this campaign, he is now on the cusp of doing so.

Earlier in the week, Oliver was designated to return from injured reserve and after turning in three limited practices, he was activated from the list.

While he still carries a questionable tag, the expectation is Oliver will play.

Now, it remains to be seen how much Oliver is actually going to play.

The expectation has been that he won't play a full complement of snaps, which wouldn't be surprising given his lengthy absence.

According to NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe, that is exactly what is going to happen.

"Ed [Oliver] won’t be 100% today and will play limited reps but Buffalo believes 'a rusty Ed is better than most,'" Wolfe reported.

We will likely see Oliver play the majority of his snaps, at least, on obvious passing downs, as the star defensive tackle shines as a pass-rusher more than a run defender.

Even though Oliver isn't going to play a full game, the simple fact that he is out there and able to play not only provides a boost to the defense, but to the team's morale, also.
