The New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills will square off in a hugely important game on Sunday and the weather could make an impact.

The Bills are trying to stave off elimination in the AFC East, as the Patriots can clinch the division title with a win on Sunday. The good news for the Bills is that they can also make the playoffs via the wild-card if they fail to win the division.

Both teams will be up against the elements on Sunday, though. Here's a look at what the weather forecast is calling for at Gillette Stadium.

Bills vs. Patriots weather forecast

According to AccuWeather.com, snow is expected to fall right up until kickoff at 1 p.m. ET. After tapering off, the forecast calls for more snow around 3 p.m. ET. The expectation is one to three inches will fall during the day, but there's a 21% chance for three to six inches.

The cold will also obviously be something to consider, with temperatures hitting a high of 32 right around kickoff before dipping a bit as the game progresses.

Thankfully, wind shouldn't be a factor, only hitting a high of nine miles per hour.

Fantasy football impact

Fantasy-relevant players potentially negatively impacted: QBs Josh Allen and Drake Maye, WRs Stefon Diggs, Kayshon Boutte and Khalil Shakir, tight ends Hunter Henry and Dalton Kincaid, and kickers Matt Prater and Andy Borregales.

Fantasy football-relevant players potentially positively impacted: RBs Rhamondre Stevenson, TreVeyon Henderson and James Cook.

Snow creates a slicker football, which is especially troubling for quarterbacks and pass-catchers, as the ball will be tougher to grip when throwing, harder to catch, and kickers have to worry about botched snaps.

Footing will also be an issue for both sides of the ball, including for kickers, who can have field goals and extra points wrecked if they slip.

On the positive side, both rushing attacks could see more work if conditions prove impactful on the passing attacks of both teams. The biggest concern with running backs is the increased chances for a fumble.
