Buffalo Bills receiver Keon Coleman was a healthy scratch from his team's 44-32 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, as the younger receiver tries to navigate his second NFL season.
The reason was that Keon was reportedly late to a team meeting on Friday. Up until then, he was expected to take his place in the offense, but his latest incident led the Bills to discipline him.
It isn't ideal, given this is the second time this season Coleman has been disciplined by the Bills, and given how the offense functioned without him, it will make the rest of the week an interesting thing to watch to see if he suits up against the Houston Texans.
But when asked about Keon's availability for Thursday night, head coach Sean McDermott didn't offer much.
“We'll see," McDermott said. "We'll see how it goes. Take it one day at a time. We addressed the situation yesterday. We're now moving forward, and we'll take it one day at a time from there."

Coleman no certainty to play in Week 12
Bills left tackle Dion Dawkins stated post-game that it is time for Coleman to grow up after his latest incident, and while the veteran also stated he is in Keon's "corner," there comes a time when you have to come on as a player.
In his second season, Coleman hasn't developed into the weapon Buffalo drafted him to be, and yes, he's young and still finding his way, but there is a clear sense of urgency for Coleman to become a consistent part of Joe Brady's offense.
And being late to team meetings isn't helping his cause.
Missing one game is one thing, but missing two? Then the Bills might have a problem on their hands.
The hope is this latest issue will be the one that sees Keon move on and become the player the franchise wants.
Time will tell if he does.
