Matt Prater is sticking around.
The Buffalo Bills signed Prater to their active roster on Tuesday, two days after he had kicked heroic field goals at the halftime and regulation buzzers in a 41-40 win over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday Night Football.
Prater had initially been signed to the practice squad last week, then was elevated on gameday with Tyler Bass on Injured Reserve.
Now, Prater sticks on the active roster. When Bass returns, there'll be at least a bit of a question as to who gets to kick for Buffalo, but that's a future problem at the moment.

Prater became the oldest player to ever appear in a regular season game for the Bills, according to beat reporter Alex Brasky.
Specifically, Prater was 41 years and 28 days old when he took the field on Sunday night for Week 1.
Prater celebrated his 41st birthday on Aug. 10.
This is his 19th season in the NFL. Prater has also kicked for the Falcons, Broncos, Lions and Cardinals.

It's hard for Prater to have drawn up a better start to his Bills tenure than this.
Buffalo will be hoping they don't need last-second heroics from their kicker this week as they take on the New York Jets.
But if they need him, Prater appears plenty capable of delivering.
