The Buffalo Bills have elevated two players to their active roster ahead of their Week 9 matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Cornerback Dane Jackson and defensive tackle Phidarian Mathis were both elevated from the practice squad. Jackson struggled tremendously during the preseason, which led to the Bills releasing him ahead of the regular season and bringing him back to the practice squad.

Jackson was drafted in the seventh-round out of Pittsburgh in the 2020 NFL Draft, and he went on to become a respectable role in the Bills' secondary from 2020-23 before spending a season with the Carolina Panthers in 2024.

If Jackson is tasked with covering one of the Chiefs' many weapons, it could be a long day for Buffalo's defense.
