Bills' Josh Allen makes football history never done by another NFL QB image

Josh Allen has added himself a cool little piece of football lore as part of his career accomplishments.

The Buffalo Bills' superstar quarterback is now the only player in NFL history to have completed a pass to a father-son duo.

Shoutout to local radio host @SneakyJoeSports for the stat:

Allen played with Frank Gore Sr. Early in his career. And then on Sunday, Frank Gore Jr. Played in his first NFL game (a playoff game no less), and Allen hit him for a completion in the flat.

The odds here are so dang low.

NFL players have shorter careers than the other major sports, so the idea that a father and son could come sort of close to overlapping is hard to figure.

Add in the fact that there are 32 NFL teams, so the chances that they play with the same one aren't particularly high.

And then they would have to both be skill players who played with the same QB, because that's how you'd catch a pass.

So the odds were certainly stacked against these guys.

But then Gore Sr. Had one of the longest RB careers ever. And his son has beaten the odds as an undrafted player to stick around with the Bills long enough to get an elevation to the gameday roster when Ty Johnson was out injured on Sunday.

Allen connects the pair.

That's pretty cool.
