Buffalo Bills receiver Keon Coleman has been the subject of a lot of criticism this season, and some from former NFL receiver Steve Smith, as the second-year receiver has struggled to make an impact in games.

Given his high draft status, more is expected of Keon, and in the 30-13 loss to the Miami Dolphins, Coleman posted 46 yards and a touchdown from his three receptions, with 35 of those yards coming on his touchdown catch.

Consistency has alluded Coleman thus far, and when Josh Allen was asked post-game if Coleman is doing enough with his opportunities, well, the MVP's answer, after a long pause, tells you all you need to know.

“I mean, got one [touchdown] today, so yeah,” a dejected Allen said.

Now, we could be reading too much into it, but Allen clearly seemed upset at what Coleman has done or isn't doing, but the clear frustration could simply be from the poor loss his team just had.

Either way, it appears Keon isn't doing enough as part of Joe Brady's offense.

Coleman struggling for form in Year 2

At halftime of the Dolphins game, Coleman had just one reception for five yards. That isn't going to cut it, and that stat line in first halves is now becoming the norm.

Granted, Khalil Shakir (two receptions for seven yards) wasn't good either, as Dalton Kincaid was the best of Buffalo's weapons with 37 yards from two receptions, but for Coleman, the pressure has been on him in Year 2 to start producing.

Steve Smith said Keon doesn't have the ability to be a No. 1, and yes, Coleman is early in his career, but the Bills coaching staff ideally wants to see more from their high draft pick.

Allen appears frustrated at the lack of production, and who knows, maybe we are reading too much into it, but things don't appear to be in good order for Coleman and the offense.
