The Buffalo Bills didn't have Dalton Kincaid available on Sunday, and it showed.

Until very late in the game, Buffalo didn't move the ball well, and it cost the Bills in a 13-12 loss to the Eagles.

It matches a trend: When Kincaid is out, the Bills take a big step back as an offense.

Buffalo is 9-2 when Kincaid plays and just 2-3 when he doesn't, averaging a whole touchdown more when they've got their star tight end.

The Bills have a solid TE depth chart behind Kincaid. Dawson Knox usually steps up when Kincaid is out, and the rookie Jackson Hawes has done a lot of good this year, too.

But Kincaid is key for an offense that doesn't have wide receivers creating much separation.

Kincaid can get open for Josh Allen. Without him, there's a lot more standing and holding the football for the star quarterback.

This season, Kincaid has been out with multiple ailments. It's not clear yet whether he'll be healed up by Week 18, or hopefully by the first round of the playoffs.

But it's clear that the Bills could really use him out on the field.
