The Buffalo Bills are entering yet another playoff push, but there is something coming down the pipeline that the franchise has to be aware of.

The future of young tight end Dalton Kincaid.

Having dealt with injuries the past two seasons, Kincaid hasn't been the top weapon Buffalo had hoped for. Granted, he's still Josh Allen's go-to guy, but the time has come to decide how valuable he is to the franchise.

Taken in the first round of the 2023 draft, the Bills can pick up Dalton's fifth-year option if they so choose.

But should they? NFL.com's Marc Ross thinks it's a no-brainer.

"Kincaid has dealt with several injuries, but there's no denying his impact when he's on the field," Ross wrote. "Josh Allen has a 150.3 passer rating when targeting Kincaid in 2025, the highest among all QB-receiver duos with a minimum of 20 targets, per Next Gen Stats. Kincaid also finished second on the team in receiving yards this season.

"There's no chance the Bills would want to move on from such an important weapon."

Should Bills extend Kincaid?

Without a doubt.

General manager Brandon Beane would need to do some salary cap massaging, but still, extending Kincaid, or at the very least, picking up his fifth-year option, should be happening.

His 1,692 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in three seasons don't scream top tight end, but there's no denying Kincaid's importance to Josh Allen and the offense.

Buffalo's passing game looks average at best without Kincaid, so it does seem like all roads lead to the franchise extending Kincaid at some point.

Whether that be his fifth-year option or a contract extension, don't expect Kincaid to be going anywhere, Bills Mafia.
