Why Bills don't need to worry about WR crisis vs. Broncos image

Much has been made of the Buffalo Bills' receiver position over the past 48 hours, and with good reason.

A group that was already thin has now lost both Tyrell Shavers and Gabe Davis to ACL injuries, depleting Josh Allen's pass-catching group ahead of the divisional round against the Denver Broncos.

That is far from ideal, and it has people worried that the Bills won't be able to move the ball against Denver's defense.

But what if those worries were for nothing?

Receiver Brandin Cooks has enough faith in those remaining weapons that they can get the job done.

"You got guys that's been playing in this league, for a while," Cooks said. "You got Cole [Keon Coleman], you got Curtis [Samuel] and [Khalil] Shakir. I think at the end of the day, we hear the noise, but all we can do is focus on our job, focus on the task at hand, and be the best that we can possibly be for this team, and let everything else take care of itself."

This is Keon Coleman's chance

With Allen's weapons depleted, this now feels like the chance for Keon Coleman to stand up and be counted.

Yes, Shakir is still Allen's go-to guy, as is Dalton Kincaid, but Coleman has a chance to prove to the coaching staff and his quarterback that he can be dependable.

Coming up big in such a huge game for the franchise would be the perfect tonic for Coleman, and it might restore the coaching staff's faith in him.

It has been a turbulent season for the second-year receiver, but opportunity has knocked on his door.

Can he take advantage of it?
