The Buffalo Bills are developing a concerning trend over the last couple of weeks, and it is something that isn't sustainable in the NFL.

Mounting roaring comebacks to win games.

They did it against the Cincinnati Bengals and New England Patriots to claim stirring, back-to-back wins, but then got themselves in a 13-0 hole against the Philadelphia Eagles in the fourth quarter.

But this time, Buffalo couldn't get the win it needed.

And for veteran receiver Brandin Cooks, they always had the belief they could win.

“I think at the end of the day, this team is a bunch of resilient guys,” Cooks said. “We never feel like we out of it. Things wasn't going our way early on as a offense, but we continued to fight and try to make it a game, but ultimately came up short.”

Cooks shows out despite loss

The Bills might have lost, but it wasn't due to a lack of production from Cooks.

Since coming to the team midseason, Brandin has been a bit-part player in Joe Brady's offense, but against the Eagles, he showed there's still plenty of juice in the tank.

Cook would post 101 yards from four receptions, which included a 50-yard bomb from Josh Allen as his speed was again on show.

With the Bills playoff-bound despite the loss, the offense is going to need Cooks' speed to help set up the run game and the underneath passing game.

But one thing is for sure: the Bills can't keep allowing teams to get the jump on them and then being forced to mount a comeback.

If they do that in the postseason, they'll be one-and-done.
