Buffalo Bills receiver Keon Coleman, like many young players across the NFL, is striving for consistency, and so far, it has evaded him six weeks into Year 2.
After a blistering Week 1 performance that saw Coleman post 112 yards and a touchdown, he hasn't surpassed 45 yards since, and in the loss to the Atlanta Falcons, Keon posted just 11 yards from three receptions.
That isn't ideal, and when we factor in that the Bills were without Dalton Kincaid, Curtis Samuel, and then Joshua Palmer after the second quarter, it was a chance for Keon to step up, and unfortunately, he didn't.
But as offensive coordinator Joe Brady discusses, it isn't all on Keon.
“Keon had some one-on-ones that he's going to want back,” Brady said. “Those opportunities, those are things that he knows we're putting him in those positions to make them.
“I got to spend this time this week, making sure that we're doing that and we're getting the matchups that we want, the people where we want them, and we're taking advantage of that, whether it's Keon, whether it's anybody on our football team, it's no different.”

Bye week crucial for Bills to fix offensive problems
Sitting at 4-2, it isn't exactly the end of the world for the Bills, but there are things that need cleaning up, and getting this offense back to its high-octane best is job No. 1 during the bye week.
Having scored at least 30 points in every game in the opening month, just a combined 34 points have been scored in the last two games, so there is room for improvement.
Getting Coleman going would help, and we know the talent is there because he's shown it; he just has to show it consistently, and as Brady said, putting the right players in the right positions to succeed is key.
Some teams don't need a bye week, but for Buffalo, it might have come at the perfect time to fix its troubled offense.
