The Buffalo Bills have a chance to send a stern warning to anyone paying attention.

They could, if they wanted, cut Keon Coleman.

To be clear, that hasn't happened yet. Coleman is just in the midst of being benched while healthy for apparently showing up late to meetings.

The second-year WR may still have a future role in Buffalo.

But there are advocates out there for just getting rid of Coleman now.

Former college Jim Monos joined the Go Long show with Tyler Dunne and said just that.

Here's the Monos monologue on cutting Coleman:

"They could cut him. It would be one of the ultimate messages sent. It would be moving to the owner and saying, 'Hey look, we messed up.' They just had their best, that game was so sick on offense. They don't need Keon Coleman. That was against a real defense. Tampa is a big time defense. At any point in that game did you say gosh, if they had Keon Coleman, they might win this game? No. Next. That's how you send messages."

He's got quite the point.

The Bills erupted for 44 points in spite of three turnovers against the Bucs. They got production from the likes of Tyrell Shavers and Gabe Davis.

Josh Allen really didn't look at all like he might need his young WR who struggles to create separation from defensive backs.

It'd be quite the pill to swallow for the Bills to actually cut Coleman. But if he's truly inactive again Thursday night, everything starts to seem like a possibility.
