The Buffalo Bills may not have realized they needed one.
But if they could go back in time to the 2025 NFL Draft, they would've had a chance to draft a Keon Coleman replacement at wide receiver.
That may be what ends up coming in 2026, but first, Bleacher Report's Brent Sobleski has done a 2025 NFL re-draft.
In that re-draft, he has Jayden Higgins, the big WR from Iowa State, going to the Bills at the No. 30 pick. The Bills actually picked CB Maxwell Hairston there.
The Texans took Higgins with the 34th pick in the actual draft.
"Jayden Higgins could have been everything the Buffalo Bills are still holding out hope that Keon Coleman can become," Sobleski wrote. "After Coleman failed to impress as a rookie, the Bills should have made wide receiver a priority. They didn't."

The Bills' receiver group, not even including Coleman, simply hasn't been good enough in 2025. They've struggled to create separation or make big plays.
"Furthermore, Curtis Samuel was coming off an injury-plagued first season in Buffalo," Sobleski wrote. "Despite signing in free agency, Josh Palmer has yet to show he can be a consistent threat. The team also signed veterans Gabriel Davis and Brandin Cooks late in the process to provide a boost. Aside from Khalil Shakir, the Bills don't have a reliable wide receiver in their passing attack. Higgins has the traits the Bills want in a WR1. He's actually slightly bigger (6'4", 214 lbs), longer and definitely faster than Coleman. As a rookie, he produced more as well. His 41 receptions would rank second on the Bills, with six touchdown grabs leading the way. Imagine playing in an offense where Josh Allen is throwing to him."
Bills fans would certainly love to have an on-the-rise young receiver like Higgins.
Instead, they might have to seek one out in the 2026 draft, after what they hope is a deep playoff run.
