The Buffalo Bills enter the 2025 season in a similar spot they've been in for the better part of a half-decade - trying to find the final piece to get over the hump in the AFC. They went very defensive-heavy with their acquisitions this offseason, both in free agency and the draft. One of their top additions, though, gave fans a scare at mini-camp.
First-round pick Max Hairston suffered an injury on Wednesday, and fans worried it could be something serious. However, Brandon Beane clarified it was just a tweak, and he'll be fine for training camp.
"Bills Mafia, you can breathe easy," Matt Parrino writes. "Hairston’s Wednesday injury was just a tweak to his hamstring, Beane revealed on Thursday. The first-round pick is busy getting treatment and the GM doesn’t think it’s something that will linger into training camp."
Considering how much the Bills are banking on Hairston to be the CB2 on the depth chart opposite Christian Benford, this is a huge sigh of relief. The cornerback room of Benford, Hairston, Taron Johnson, Tre'Davious White, and Dane Jackson, as well as fellow rookies Dorian Strong and Jordan Hancock, give the Bills a very deep room with young talent that could rise to the top.
