Three Buffalo Bills players could put extra money in their bank accounts in Week 18.
Wide receiver Khalil Shakir, tight end Dawson Knox and edge rusher Joey Bosa are all on the cusp of cashing on in incentives against the New York Jets, per NFL.com.
For Shakir, he needs a receiving touchdown to give him five on the season, which would activate a $150,000 salary escalator in 2026.
Knox needs to reach 400 receiving yards in order to grab a $100,000 incentive. He is just seven yards away from hitting that mark.
Last but not least, Bosa needs one more sack to reach six for the 2025 campaign, which would net him a cool $250,000 more.
What we don't know yet is if any of these players will see the field in Week 18, as the Bills could opt to rest their starters and other key players versus the Jets with the team having already clinched its postseason berth.
Granted, the Bills can still move up in the wild-card standings, but they may view protecting their best players for the playoffs as more important, which would be understandable.
At the very least, the expectation is Josh Allen won't play much, if at all, according to Sal Maiorana of the Democrat and Chronicle.
Having Mitch Trubisky under center will make it more difficult for Shakir and Knox to reach their incentive goals, although much more so for Shakir since he needs a touchdown as compared to Knox needing just seven yards.
We wouldn't be surprised to see Bosa play limited snaps in this contest, seeing as how the Bills have managed his reps all season long, so he might not have much of an opportunity to get the sack he needs.
