Is Zay Flowers playing today? Latest injury update, fantasy advice for Ravens WR image

As if the Baltimore Ravens didn't have enough injury concerns ahead of their Week 6 game against the Los Angeles Rams, we can now add wide receiver Zay Flowers to the list.

Flowers showed up on the injury report this week with a shoulder issue and was only able to log limited sessions before drawing a questionable tag for Sunday.

With Flowers' status uncertain for Sunday, we received an update on Saturday night that offers both good and bad news for Baltimore's No. 1 wide receiver.

Is Zay Flowers playing today?

UPDATE: Flowers is officially ACTIVE for Week 6.

END OF UPDATE

Yes, Flowers is expected to play in Week 6, but he is going to do so at less than 100% and his snaps could be limited, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

"Ravens WR Zay Flowers, questionable with a shoulder injury, is expected to play on Sunday, source said. He won't be 100% and will likely play less than his normal allotment of snaps. But he should be good to go," Rapoport reported.

Ah, yes, the old "he's going to play but see limited snaps" situation that is the bane of fantasy football owners' existences.

Zay Flowers start or sit advice

There are now multiple reasons to sit Flowers this week.

Along with Rapoport's report that Flowers is playing banged-up and may not see a full complement of snaps, the Ravens are also without quarterback Lamar Jackson, which means Cooper Rush is under center again.

Flowers did produce decent numbers with Rush last week (five catches, 72 yards), but his injury status and the downgrade at quarterback scares us off the Ravens wideout this week.

Verdict: Sit
