The Baltimore Ravens are reportedly adding some much-needed depth for their defensive line as Nnamdi Madubuike deals with an injury.

According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, the Ravens are signing former first-round pick and defensive tackle Taven Bryan to the practice squad.

Madubuike is dealing with a neck injury he suffered in Week 2.

The two-time Pro Bowler sat out the Week 3 game against the Detroit Lions after not practicing at all during the week. His status for Week 4 remains up in the air, but the signing of Bryan could be an indication he won't play on Sunday, either.

Bryan was the No. 29 overall pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2018 but proved to be a bust. The Florida product made just 17 starts in 63 games over four seasons with the Jags and was not re-signed in 2022.

Bryan then latched on with the Cleveland Browns for one season and made 16 starts, but he ended up being one-and-done with the team. He played for the Indianapolis Colts the past two seasons, starting in 13 of 34 contests.

Bryan was with the Cincinnati Bengals during the offseason but did not make it past cutdown day.

In 2024, Bryan tallied an overall Pro Football Focus grade of 58.2 and run defense and pass-rush grades of 55.3 and 65.3, respectively.

Even with Madubuike's injury, Bryan will have a tough time cracking the starting lineup. At best, he'll be a depth piece if the Ravens elevate him for a game.
