The Baltimore Ravens are riddled with injuries after the first quarter of the season. Roquan Smith, Nate Wiggins, Marlon Humphrey, and Lamar Jackson are all dealing with some sort of injury that could cause them to miss multiple games. Because of this, the Ravens are signing former Cowboys and Lions cornerback Amani Oruwariye.
"The Ravens are signing CB Amani Oruwariye, following the latest injuries to their secondary, including Marlon Humphrey and Nate Wiggins," Jordan Schultz reports. "Oruwariye spent last season with the Cowboys, starting six games. He has 10 career INTs, including 6 INTs and 11 pass breakups in 2021 with the Lions."
The Ravens attempted to sign former All-Pro Eric Kendricks, but he turned down an offer.
"Eric Kendricks declined an offer to start out on Baltimore’s practice squad and is headed home this morning," Tom Pelissero reports. "Offseason shoulder surgery kept him out, but he’s in peak shape now and determined to keep playing. He has 1,174 tackles over 10 years, including 138 last season."
The Ravens will take on the fellow 1-3 Houston Texans in Week 5. Should the Ravens drop to 1-4, their season may be all but over.
