The Baltimore Ravens' head coaching search is heating up, as the team has set to interview over a dozen candidates over the next week before making a hire to replace John Harbaugh.

Baltimore has sat down with a ton of defensive candidates, but they've also done some research on the offensive minds in this year's cycle, including Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy.

The Ravens interviewed Nagy on Sunday, who is receiving head coaching interest from multiple franchises. However, A to Z Sports' Easton Freeze predicts the Chiefs' offensive coordinator will land in Baltimore as the Ravens' next head coach.

Here is what Freeze had to say about Nagy and his prediction on him landing in Baltimore:

"This would be a real shake-up of the landscape, where people currently don’t seem to understand his [Nagy's] newfound hype and interest around the league. The consensus thinks he’s headed to the Titans, which may very well happen, but my gut still tells me they decide they can’t hire him."

Nagy has won two Super Bowls with the Chiefs, one as an offensive coordinator, since returning to the franchise in 2022. The 47-year-old has been instrumental to Kansas City's offensive success, though 2025 was a down year for the team's offense.

However, Nagy just isn't cut out to be a high-level head coach, and the Ravens aren't going to settle for anything else. Nagy led the Chicago Bears to two playoff appearances during his four-year stint in Chicago, but he failed to develop quarterback Mitch Trubisky and held the Bears' offense back.

Baltimore must hire a coach who can work well with quarterback Lamar Jackson. Though Nagy is an offensive-minded coach and less rigid than Harbaugh, it's hard to see him commanding Jackson's respect.

There are better options on the open market for the Ravens than Nagy, and owner Steve Bisciotti didn't fire Harbaugh for an average hire.
