The Baltimore Ravens are in the midst of a nightmare season. They are 1-5, in last place in the AFC North, and their playoff hopes are all but dead.

They were done no favors when Lamar Jackson was injured against the Kansas City Chiefs, which led to two lopsided losses to the Houston Texans and Los Angeles Rams, respectively. And despite the awful defensive play and lack of starting quarterback over the last two games, at least one veteran is putting all the blame on offensive coordinator Todd Monken.

In a recent report from The Baltimore Sun several sources gave their thoughts on what has gone wrong in Baltimore, and one player laid a lot of blame at the feet of Monken.

“It just feels different. I just don’t feel like guys are being put in positions to succeed with this offense... It’s freakin’ Lamar Jackson, how can you not find ways to have success with him? But I’m pretty sure if you put [Chiefs quarterback] Patrick Mahomes out there for us right now, the same things would be happening.”

It would be rather odd to move on from Monken, who has helped make the Ravens' offense one of the best in the modern era of the NFL. Meanwhile, the defense has been a disaster of the highest order. More blame should fall on defensive coordinator Zach Orr, whose defense can't keep points off the board.

In totality, though, everything falls on the shoulders of John Harbaugh, whose lack of success over the last decade in terms of winning big games is the large, overshadowing cloud that will haunt the Ravens for quite a while.
