The Baltimore Ravens have found their new head coach.
The team announced on Thursday that they've hired now-former Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter to take over as head coach and replace John Harbaugh.
"Your next coach of the Baltimore Ravens. We have agreed to terms with Jesse Minter to be our head coach!" The Ravens announced on social media.
Minter has established himself as a premier head coaching candidate over the last two seasons due to the excellent job he's done with the Chargers as their defensive coordinator.
Los Angeles was the No. 1 scoring defense in the NFL in 2024, and returned as a top-10 unit in 2025 under Minter.
The 42-year-old is regarded as one of the top young defensive minds in the sport and is now heading to Baltimore to coach the Ravens and get the franchise over the hump.
Baltimore fired Harnbaugh after an underwhelming 2025 campaign and believes Minter is the right head coach to work with quarterback Lamar Jackson and help the Ravens reach more playoff success.
We'll see how the hire of Minter works out, but as for initial thoughts, it's a promising hire from owner Steve Bisciotti and general manager Eric DeCosta.
