The Baltimore Ravens will undergo significant changes this offseason with John Harbaugh out as head coach and potentially Todd Monken as offensive coordinator, too.

But there is also something that should be high on the to-do list for Baltimore.

Alter Lamar Jackson's contract.

Why? Because of his cap hit. It's untenable.

And for ESPN's Jamison Hensley, the Ravens' biggest offseason priority is rather easy to select.

"Reduce quarterback Lamar Jackson's salary cap number," Hensley wrote. "The Ravens will be extremely limited with what they can do in free agency if they don't lower Jackson's cap figure, which jumps to $74.5 million in 2026 (roughly 25% of Baltimore's cap).

"The team likely needs to sign him to a new contract, and the last contract talks with Jackson were challenging because he doesn't have an agent and represents himself."

Ravens set for offseason overhaul

Just having Harbaugh moved on is big enough, but now to get potentially new head coach, along with a offensive coordinator (possibly), and then the big contract shuffle with Jackson, this won't be an easy offseason to navigate.

After failing to make the playoffs, the Ravens now have to get every decision right as they look to get back to where they feel they belong.

But first, figuring out how to manage Lamar's $74.5 million cap his is job one.

Do that, and you can then move through the rest of the offseason with a little more freedom.
