Ravens coach offers worrying insight into Lamar Jackson ahead of Week 14 image

The Baltimore Ravens are trying their best to maintain their mojo as their season is slipping away, but they aren't getting much help from Lamar Jackson.

With the two-time MVP winner in a serious form slump over the past month, as poor accuracy, turnovers, and just one passing touchdown have led a lot of fans and media personalities alike to think that the only reason for Lamar's poor form -- injury.

Well, now offensive coordinator Todd Monken has given an alarming update on his quarterback and his health, as Lamar's Week 14 status could be in doubt due to an ankle injury.

"Well, I just give him a lot of credit, he's a battling each week, trying to get healthy enough to play," Monken said. "That's what I see out of him, I see a guy that's battling little nagging injuries, things that are stopping him from being able to get out every day and practice. I see a guy battling."

Monken's update a worry for Ravens fans

Despite the Ravens still leading the AFC North, their playoff spot is far from secured.

And now with Monken's insight into his quarterback's health, things aren't in a good spot for the Ravens and their playoff hopes.

Yes, most players are dealing with something at this time of year as the brutal nature of the NFL takes hold, but to hear Monken say that Jackson's "battling" each week means that he hasn't been healthy for a while.

And getting Lamar as healthy as possible is the key to Baltimore ending the season in a playoff spot.
