The Baltimore Ravens are on the brink of elimination from playoff contention. With one more loss, or one more Steelers win, the Ravens will be sitting at home this January.

More importantly, though, the Ravens are at a crossroads as a franchise. Even if they make the postseason, it feels highly unlikely that this team could make a run to the Super Bowl, which makes this another wasted season in the Lamar Jackson era. This has led to speculation on the job security of John Harbaugh, as well as the future of Jackson in Baltimore.

In a recent report for The Baltimore Sun Mike Preston says that the Ravens have to at least entertain trade offers for Jackson this offseason.

"The Ravens should look at possible trades, which could net them two or three first-round picks," Preston writes. But it's the next part that will get the attention of both Ravens and Dolphins fans.

"Jackson would love to play in Miami, where quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is no longer the starter, or possibly Las Vegas, where [Tom] Brady, a partial owner of the Raiders, has shown a fondness for him. Baltimore should also draft a young quarterback in the early rounds."

Jackson is originally from Pompano Beach, Florida and went to Boynton Beach High School. Going back to his home state could be incredibly attractive to the two-time MVP.

The Dolphins benched Tua Tagovailoa, and it appears he has played his final snap with the Dolphins. Miami would eat $99 million in dead money should they move on from the Alabama product, but it would likely be viewed internally as more than worth the price if Jackson is the end prize.

For Baltimore, netting several first-round picks would help the rebuild in their post-Lamar world, and would certainly increase their chances of hitting on a star quarterback in the draft.
