Lamar Jackson injury update is huge news for Steelers vs. Ravens winner-take-all game image

The Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers will do battle in a winner-take-all contest on Sunday that will determine the AFC North winner.

But the Ravens have a massive question mark in quarterback Lamar Jackson, who is trying to recover from a back injury that forced him to sit out last week.

On that front, Jackson is making progress, as NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Jackson is expected to practice on Wednesday.

"A good sign for the Ravens: QB Lamar Jackson is expected to practice today," Rapoport reported on Wednesday morning.

If he indeed takes part in practice, it would be Jackson's first since suffering his back injury in Week 16, and the participation would put him on track to return on Sunday.

We'll get Jackson's exact level of participation later in the day, when the Ravens drop their first injury report.

While Tyler Huntley played very well in Week 17 against the Green Bay Packers, it goes without saying that having Jackson gives the Ravens a better chance to win.

On the flip side, it's going to make the Steelers' job more difficult, although the possible return of T.J. Watt will no doubt help.
