Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills was a tough loss for the Baltimore Ravens, who had a comfortable lead slipping away. In the fourth quarter, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson reportedly absorbed an illegal hit that went uncalled by the referees.
On Wednesday, he discussed it and sent a candid message to NFL referees.
Sarah Ellison of Ravens Vault tweeted: "Lamar Jackson was asked if he was frustrated that he didn't get a roughing the passer flag for the hit he absorbed on third-and-9 late in the fourth quarter."
"Hopefully, we start getting those calls sometime soon, fast," Jackson said.
But Jackson won't "cry" over the uncalled penalty or let it affect his game.
"It's football, man. I don't really cry," he added. I don't cry on the field. I don't cry at all, really. I just play ball."
The Ravens vs. Bills game also featured a heated sideline incident. Jackson was slapped on the helmet by a Bills fan during a touchdown celebration. He then shoved the fan back into the stands.
Earlier this week, Jackson responded to that incident. "I just let my emotions get the best of me," he said. "Hopefully that don't happen again to me, you know, but it's football."
The fan was ejected and indefinitely banned from NFL stadiums.
In Week 2, Lamar Jackson and the Ravens will host the Cleveland Browns at M&T Bank Stadium, aiming to secure their first win of the season.
