ESPN predicts Ravens will hire former AFC North head coach to replace John Harbaugh image

The Baltimore Ravens have kick-started their head coaching search, as the team has begun interviewing candidates to replace John Harbaugh, with whom they parted ways on January 6.

Baltimore will interview a plethora of candidates over the next few weeks before making a decision on who will take over as head coach. One of the Ravens' head coaching interviews was Kevin Stefanski, who coached the Cleveland Browns for six seasons and was fired after a 4-13 season.

Stefanski is just one of many candidates Baltimore has sat down with, but ESPN's Jeremy Fowler predicts the Ravens will ultimately hire the former Browns head coach.

Here is what Fowler had to say about Stefanski and his potential fit with Baltimore:

"The Ravens know Stefanski from having played against his Browns teams for the past six years (Baltimore was 8-4 against Stefanski-coached Cleveland teams), and Stefanski is a popular candidate on this circuit. He's a mid-Atlantic, East Coast guy who would fit in a place like here or New York."

"Having Lamar Jackson and a winning culture in place makes Baltimore the most appealing landing spot among the current openings. Stefanski had 13 different starting QBs in Cleveland, but he would get a true franchise passer in Jackson in Baltimore."

Stefanski's tenure in Cleveland ended with two straight losing seasons and a constant struggle on offense. However, when given a stable quarterback situation, he had success with the franchise and led them to two playoff appearances, with one win.

If hired by the Ravens, Stefanski would get to work with Lamar Jackson and a talented Baltimore offense. Stefanski has the ability to elevate the Ravens' offense, and he already knows the AFC North very well, which is also a major plus.

Though Stefanski's final seasons with the Browns were lackluster and frustrating, he should be a strong candidate for the Ravens' job and could take Baltimore to the next level offensively, which should be the franchise's primary focus during this coaching search, especially with Jackson being in the middle of his prime.
