Tyler Loop had only missed three of his 32 field goal attempts all season.
But with the Baltimore Ravens' season on the line, Loop missed for the fourth time. His 44-yard attempt sailed wide right, and instead of Baltimore winning the AFC North and going to the playoffs, the Ravens were going home and the Pittsburgh Steelers would instead get another week of football.
That Sunday night heartbreak for Loop and the Ravens was an unfortunate ending to what had been a very solid rookie season for the kicker from Arizona with the unenviable task of being the Ravens' first kicker after Justin Tucker.
Loop won't soon forget that moment Sunday night. Thus is the life of a kicker.
But the Ravens, contrary to some social media posts, aren't yet moving on from him.

Did the Ravens release Tyler Loop?
The Ravens have not released or waived or cut or gotten rid of Loop in any way.
Even if they were going to do that, it wouldn't happen the Monday morning after their final game of the season.
But that'd be an illogical conclusion to what was a strong rookie year for Loop that ended in unfortunate fashion.
The rumor is going around thanks to this viral social media post:

That's fake.
It comes from an account which has the word "satire" as the first word in its description.
It was just a chance to gain hundreds of thousands of views off a trending topic. But Loop isn't going anywhere.
