The Dallas Cowboys recently made a blockbuster trade, as the team sent a 2026 third-round pick to the Pittsburgh Steelers for wide receiver George Pickens. Both franchises also swapped late-round picks in 2027.

Adding Pickens to help quarterback Dak Prescott was a masterful move, but Last Word on Sports' Anthony Palacios believes Dallas should now help superstar edge rusher Micah Parsons by trading for Baltimore Ravens breakout star pass rusher Odafe Oweh.

"Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys surprised many after finally getting a wide receiver in George Pickens. However, they could use some more work on their defense despite trading for Kenneth Murray Jr. and signing Jack Sanborn this offseason. Even if they extend Micah Parsons, they could use the presence of Oweh as a long-term linebacker, and the Cowboys are the most likely team to trade for him," Palacios wrote.

Oweh had a breakout season in 2024, totaling ten sacks and 48 quarterback pressures with 31 defensive stops. The 26-year-old established himself as a key piece on Baltimore's defense and looks to be a future building block for John Harbaugh's squad.

Though the Penn State product is entering the final year of his deal and the Ravens did select Marshall edge rusher Mike Green in Round 2 of the draft, trading Oweh would be a foolish move by general manager Eric DeCosta. The 2021 first-round pick is coming off a career year, and moving him would decrease Baltimore's chances of winning a Super Bowl in 2025.

However, if the Ravens are willing to trade Oweh, Dallas should aggressively pursue him. The young defender would form an electric duo with Parsons on the Cowboys' defense and take Matt Eberflus' unit to another level.

There's a low chance that Oweh isn't in Baltimore in 2025 and for the long-term, but if he comes available for trade, Dallas should run to the phone and try to strike a deal for the ascending pass rusher.
