Analyst has shocking take on Mark Andrews' future with Ravens image

TL;DR

  • Mark Andrews set a Ravens franchise record for receiving yards against the Cleveland Browns.
  • He is projected for his lowest season yardage total, averaging only 27 yards per game.
  • Jared Dubin suggests this may be Andrews' final season with the Ravens due to declining production.
  • Andrews is auditioning for a new contract, needing to perform better to secure a significant deal.

This season has been noteworthy for Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews, with the experienced player recently setting a new franchise benchmark for receiving yards versus the Cleveland Browns.

However, this was a positive moment during what has been a challenging 2025 season for The All-Pro player, as currently, he's projected to achieve his lowest season yardage total ever, with an average of merely 27 yards per game.

The offense's output has decreased, yet Lamar Jackson continues to target Andrews in the endzone, who has already scored five touchdowns this season.

But for CBS Sports' Jared Dubin, he thinks it could be Andrews' final season in Baltimore.

"Andrews is probably in his final season with the Ravens, given the team is more likely to re-sign, well, Isaiah Likely, given the players' ages and Andrews' declining production in recent seasons," Dubin writes. "But he's still auditioning for a new contract. He probably needs to perform better than his current 8.6 yards-per-catch average over the next few weeks to earn himself a multi-year deal worth a significant amount of money."

Could Ravens keep Andrews?

Certainly, they might, and Andrews continues to provide value in the running game as a blocker (and potentially as a runner following his touchdown with The Browns), with his connection to Lamar remaining strong.

Spotrac. Com has Andrews' market value at $7.2 million APY.

Could Baltimore afford that? Possibly, and Isaiah Likely is entering the last year of his initial contract, having demonstrated sufficient performance for an extension. Spotrac.com estimates his market value at $10.1 million per year, which could be somewhat high.

Regardless, the Ravens may face a choice concerning Andrews after this season concludes, though it's difficult to imagine the team parting ways with him while he continues to contribute to their offensive efforts.

The NFL is a brutal business, and we might be about to see how brutal it is in Baltimore.
