Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts had the game of his life in the Week 15 contest against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Pitts racked up 166 receiving yards on 11 catches while also scoring three times, which is good enough for a whopping 45.6 fantasy points, assuming your league doesn't give a bonus for a 100-yard game.
Pitts' showing was indeed one of the best fantasy football performances for a tight end in league history, as you'd expect it to be.
According to Stat Muse, Pitts ranks fifth all time with his 45.6 fantasy points in a single game. He also has the most of any tight end since 2000.
Here's the full top 10:
- Kellen Winslow: 57.4 (1981)
- Kellen Winslow: 48.2 (1983)
- Shannon Sharpe: 46.3 (1996)
- Mike Ditka: 46 (1961)
- Kyle Pitts: 45.6 (2025)
- Shannon Sharpe: 45.4 (2002)
- Darren Waller: 45 (2020)
- Rich Caster: 44.4 (1972)
- Todd Christensen: 44.2 (1983)
- Mike Ditka: 44 (1963)
To say Pitts' performance was an outlier would be an understatement.
We always knew the Falcons tight end had the talent to pull something like this off, but he didn't have a 100-yard game since all the way back in his rookie season in 2021. He also had just one touchdown all of this season entering Week 15.
While there's still a lot of games left to be played this week, Pitts has gotten his fantasy football owners off to one heck of a start in the first round of the playoffs.
Pitts is now on a three-game tear and has tallied his most yards in a season (797) since he posted 1,026 in his first year in the NFL.
And, with his three touchdowns on Thursday night, Pitts has now tied his career-high.
It has been a rough few years for Pitts since he entered the league with a bang, but he's putting his best foot forward down the stretch of the 2025 campaign and it comes at the perfect time, with Pitts set to hit free agency in March.
