The Atlanta Falcons have yet to confirm if tight end Kyle Pitts will play this week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Ahead of Thursday night's game, Pitts is questionable to play due to a knee issue. He has not missed a game yet this season, but he also didn't log a single full practice throughout the course of the week and instead was limited three times.
The Falcons announced their roster moves ahead of kickoff on Thursday night and those moves were a pretty good indication that Pitts is going to play.
Here's the latest.
Kyle Pitts injury update
The Falcons' roster moves saw the team elevate two players from the practice squad in wide receiver Chris Blair, who adds a body at wide receiver with Drake London out, and safety Jammie Robinson.
What the Falcons didn't do was elevate a tight end from the practice squad. While the Falcons do have three other tight ends on their roster outside of Pitts, they usually carry four into gameday.
Sure, the fact they didn't elevate a tight end from the practice squad doesn't guarantee Pitts is going to play, but it's a better sign than if the Falcons did elevate one.
It's surprising we haven't gotten any semblance of a report on Pitts' status as of this writing, so Atlanta must be really keeping it close to the vest.
But confirmation on Pitts' status won't come any later than around 6:45 p.m. ET, when Atlanta and Tampa Bay will drop their inactives lists.
