Kevin Stefanski rumor is huge news for Falcons, bad news for Ravens and Titans image

The Atlanta Falcons are reportedly the favorite to land former Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski.

On Friday, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported that the Falcons were one of the most likely landing spots for Stefanski, along with the Baltimore Ravens and Tennessee Titans.

"My anticipation is Stefanski is going to have second interviews with multiple teams, coming likely next week," he said. "My sense is the Titans, Falcons and Ravens are all potential landing spots for Stefanski."

However, SNY's Connor Hughes reports that the Falcons are considered the front-runner to land the two-time Coach of the Year winner.

"With that, hearing Kevin Stefanski is favorite for Falcons job," Hughes reported. "That was talk before: Whoever didn’t land Harbaugh would get Stefanski."

If the Falcons do indeed win the Stefanski sweepstakes, they will have beaten out five other teams to land him.

Stefanski interviewed with six teams in total, including the Ravens, Titans, Falcons, Las Vegas Raiders, Miami Dolphins and New York Giants, but the Giants are now expected to hire John Harbaugh as their next head coach.

Stefanski is a perfect fit for a Falcons offense with great young pieces in Bijan Robinson and Drake London. Stefanski could do wonders for Michael Penix Jr., who needs more development and a more sound offensive scheme.

The Falcons would be wise to move quickly, though, as there's no telling what can happen if one of the playoff teams decides to fire its head coach after being eliminated.

We would expect a resolution with Stefanski next week, assuming Pelissero is accurate in saying he will complete his second interviews then.
