As far as coincidences go, Kyle Pitts has a pretty crazy one going on.
You might call it a streak, but whatever it is, the Atlanta Falcons' tight end is on a bizarre run.
This is the scoop:
- In 2021, Pitts caught 1 touchdown.
- In 2022, Pitts caught 2 touchdowns.
- In 2023, Pitts caught 3 touchdowns.
- In 2024, Pitts caught 4 touchdowns.
- In 2025, Pitts caught 5 touchdowns.

It's quite fluky, really.
Before this season, Pitts' season-high in catches was the 68 he had as a rookie, but that only turned into a single touchdown.
He then went 28 catches, 53 catches and 47 catches in three years of regression.
This season, Pitts had a career-high 82 catches, getting 870 yards and five scores.

Pitts' true value will have to be determined by the rest of the NFL. He's a free agent this offseason.
The Falcons could consider franchise-tagging him, or they could sign him to an extension.
But just as likely is another team ending up with Pitts to give him a change of scenery and a fresh start.
At least whoever signs him knows he's going to get six touchdowns next season.
