The Atlanta Falcons have a new No. 1 head coaching target as the team looks to replace Raheem Morris, who they fired on Monday.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Baltimore Ravens fired head coach John Harbaugh after 18 seasons. Harbaugh now enters the head coaching market as the top candidate for nearly every job.

"The #Ravens and long-time decorated head coach John Harbaugh are parting ways after days of discussion, per The Insiders," Rapoport said on X. "Major decision in Baltimore."

Baltimore had a disappointing season, finishing 8-9 and missing the playoffs. According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti grew frustrated with Hatbaugh's lack of playoff success lately, and a losing record in 2025 seemed to be the nail in the coffin.

"#Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti had grown frustrated with John Harbaugh’s lack of playoff success in recent years. Harbaugh will instantly be the hottest name on the head coaching circuit," Schultz said on X.

Like most teams, the Falcons should have Harbaugh at the top of their head coaching candidates list. The 2012 Super Bowl champion is a proven winner and leader of men who would completely transform the culture in Atlanta.

With the Falcons boasting a roster filled with dynamic playmakers and promising young stars, they should be an attractive vacancy. We'll see if they can get a deal done to bring Harbaugh to Atlanta.
