Is Marvin Harrison Jr. playing today? Injury update, fantasy advice for Week 16 image

Marvin Harrison Jr. Has been in and out of the lineup for the Arizona Cardinals over the last handful of weeks.

Harrison first missed two games in Weeks 11 and 12 due to an appendectomy, and he then suffered a heel injury upon his return in Week 13 that led to him missing two more games.

The 2024 first-round pick was able to return to practice this week, but he only turned in three limited practices before drawing the questionable tag on Friday.

Here's the latest injury update on Harrison.

Is Marvin Harrison Jr. Playing today?

Yes, Harrison is expected to play on Sunday versus the Atlanta Falcons, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, although it appears he might be limited as the Cardinals plan to "ease him back in."

"Cardinals WR Marvin Harrison, who has missed the past two games due to a heel injury and is listed as questionable for Sunday, is expected to play but the team plans to ease him back in, per source," Schefter reported on Saturday night.

We'll get confirmation on Harrison's playing status around 2:35 p.m. ET, when the Cardinals drop their inactives list for Week 16.

Marvin Harrison Jr. Fantasy advice

Entering Week 16, Harrison ranks as WR28 overall in fantasy points per game, which makes him a flex option on a weekly basis.

The Falcons present a very favorable matchup, with Atlanta ceding the seventh-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season.

While the matchup is fantastic, Harrison being on a pitch count definitely scares us. Another concern is that Harrison said he would "probably" be playing injured the rest of the season, per ESPN's Josh Weinfuss.

There are just too many concerns here to trust Harrison in lineups this week.
