The sequence simply wasn't good for Kyler Murray.

The Arizona Cardinals' quarterback was lined up in shotgun, but the snap caught him by surprise.

Instead of catching the snap, Murray had the football hit him in his facemask.

Then, he tried to drive on the ball and save it.

It didn't appear there was a huge collision with any part of Murray, but he did then leave for the locker room after the turnover.

Moments later, Murray was announced by the Cardinals as questionable to return. It's been deemed a foot injury.

The Cardinals' backup is Jacoby Brissett, the one-time Patriots and Colts quarterback.

Arizona certainly can't afford to lose Murray for an extended period of time. And as a mobile QB, he certainly needs his feet healthy.

It remains to be seen what happens next, but it's not ideal for the Cardinals.
