Every week in the NFL you hear that a game ended in a wild fashion, and that is often not an overreaction. However, the way the Tennessee Titans and Arizona Cardinals Week 5 game went down was on a totally different level.
The Cardinals were cruising over the lowly, winless Titans in the fourth quarter and were staked to a 21-6 lead. Then, running back Emari Demercado broke loose for what would've been a 72-yard touchdown run and the game-sealing play.
Instead, Demercado committed a blunder we've seen far too often over the years and dropped the football before crossing the goal line, resulting in a touchback and Tennessee getting the football back.
It happened again.

Lest we forget, Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Adonai Mitchell did the exact same thing last week, but we digress...
Tennessee capitalized with a touchdown to cut the lead to 21-12 (they missed the extra point), and then forced a three-and-out on Arizona's next series.
The Titans then drove to the Cardinals' 28-yard line before quarterback Cam Ward's pass was intercepted, which led to the next crazy play.
The Cardinals defensive back who picked off the pass fumbled the ball after catching it, and after it was knocked around a bit on the ground, the Titans recovered the ball and returned it for a score.

With a 21-19 lead, the Cardinals could not answer and gave Tennessee the ball back with just under three minutes. Ward and the Titans drove 71 yards to set themselves up for the game-winner, which kicker Joey Slye barely made.
And that is how the Titans won their first game of the year, which was also the first win of Ward's career.
Meanwhile, the Cardinals suffered what was one of the most embarrassing losses you will ever see and head coach Jonathan Gannon has a lot of explaining to do, and the same can be said for his players.
