Texas, Arch Manning lose top playmaker in Longhorns offense image

Texas’ offense around quarterback Arch Manning will look different entering the postseason and into 2026.

Longhorns running back Quintrevion Wisner plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, his agent Grayson Sheena of AiC.Sports told On3's Pete Nakos. This delivers another blow to a Texas attack that has lost multiple proven playmakers.

Wisner spent three seasons at Texas Longhorns with 1,734 rushing yards on 369 carries with 20 starts in 38 games, while adding 66 receptions for 457 yards and two touchdowns.

Wisner emerged as Texas’ leading rusher over the past two seasons. He earned All-SEC third-team honors as a sophomore after producing 1,375 yards from scrimmage, including 1,064 rushing yards. His junior year was more uneven, as he appeared in nine games and finished with 597 rushing yards and three scores in 2025.

The timing is notable as Texas prepares to face Michigan Wolverines in the Citrus Bowl on New Year’s Eve. With the one-time transfer window opening Jan. 2, the Longhorns now face an offseason reset around Manning.
