Texas A&M remaining schedule: Can 9-0 Aggies go undefeated after passing test at No. 22 Missouri? image

Texas A&M had a tough matchup in Week 11, traveling to face No. 22 Missouri. The Aggies shut out the Tigers 14-0 in the first half and carried the momentum through the second, winning 38-17.

The victory kept Texas A&M among the last three unbeaten teams in the FBS. The Aggies (9-0) remain undefeated, along with Ohio State (9-0) and Indiana (9-0).

Texas A&M finished the 2024 season 8-5 in Mike Elko’s first year as head coach. The Aggies’ nine wins already tie for the most in a season since 2013. With sights set on the SEC championship and the College Football Playoff, Texas A&M could also be chasing the program’s first undefeated season in more than 30 years.

Here’s more on whether Texas A&M can go undefeated in 2025 after beating Missouri.

Texas A&M remaining schedule

  • Saturday, November 15 -- vs. South Carolina
  • Saturday, November 22 -- vs. Samford
  • Friday, November 28 -- at Texas

November 15 vs. South Carolina

Texas A&M joined the SEC in 2012. The Aggies played their first game against South Carolina in 2014 and won eight straight matchups from 2014 to 2021. South Carolina finally beat Texas A&M in 2022 and followed it with another win in 2024, both games in Columbia, South Carolina.

The Gamecocks come to College Station in 2025 with a 3-6 overall record and a 1-6 conference mark. South Carolina needs to win out to have a chance at a bowl game and is largely playing for pride. The Gamecocks will be coming off a bye week, but before that faced one of the toughest schedules in college football, playing No. 23 Missouri, No. 11 LSU, No. 14 Oklahoma, No. 4 Alabama, and No. 7 Ole Miss (rankings at the time of each game) in five of their last six contests.

November 22 vs. Samford

Samford has beaten an FBS team once in its history. It won 31-21 over Georgia State in 2013. The Bulldogs are 1-9 in 2025, and will be looking to take advantage of the Aggies possibly looking toward their final game of the season for an advantage.

November 28 at Texas

This will likely be the Aggies’ biggest game of the regular season. Texas A&M has already notched big wins over then-No. 8 Notre Dame, on the road at then-No. 20 LSU, and on the road at No. 22 Missouri. But the season finale will take them to Texas. Even if Texas A&M enters the game undefeated and loses, they are still likely to make the SEC championship and the College Football Playoff. With a potential undefeated season and a guaranteed spot in the SEC title game on the line, it will be a huge matchup to close out the regular season.

The Texas-Texas A&M rivalry dates back to 1894. The programs have met 119 times, with Texas holding a 77-37-5 edge. They last faced off in 2024, when the Longhorns visited College Station and left with a 17-7 victory.

Has Texas A&M ever gone undefeated?

Yes. The Aggies have finished a season undefeated six times, but none of those came this century.

Texas A&M first went undefeated in 1917, finishing 8-0 under Dan X. Bible in the Southwest Conference. The Aggies went undefeated under Bible again in 1919, finishing 10-0 and claiming the first national championship in program history.

Texas A&M technically went undefeated under Bible once more in 1927, finishing 8-0-1. A tie doesn’t count as a loss, and it certainly didn’t that year as the Aggies captured another national championship.

Homer H. Norton became head coach in 1934 and went 2-7-2 in his first season. Five years later, Norton led Texas A&M to its third national championship with an 11-0 record.

Bear Bryant guided the Aggies to an undefeated 9-0-1 season in 1956, but the program was ineligible for the postseason due to recruiting violations the previous year.

R. C. Slocum was the last coach to lead Texas A&M to an undefeated season. The Aggies went 10-0-1 in 1994, but NCAA sanctions again made them ineligible for the postseason and banned their games from being televised.

What is Texas A&M's best ever record?

The Aggies ' best-ever record is 11-0. Texas A&M went 11-0 in 1939, including a 6-0 record in the Southwest Conference. That year's national championship was played at the Sugar Bowl, and the Aggies beat the Tulane Green Wave 14-13.

On the way to an undefeated season, Texas A&M notched wins over Oklahoma A&M, Centenary, Santa Clara, Villanova, TCU, Baylor, Arkansas, SMU, Rice, Texas and Tulane.

Will Texas A&M jump Indiana in CFP rankings?

The first edition of the 2025 CFP rankings was released between Week 10 and Week 11. In the rankings, Indiana was placed at No. 2 and Texas A&M was No. 3. These rankings don't mean everything until we know who the conference champions are, but they are a good guide for how the committee is viewing the field.

They said that each week will be a fresh slate for the teams. In Week 11, Texas A&M went on the road to No. 22 Missouri and won by 21 points. Indiana went on the road to unranked Penn State and needed a last-minute touchdown to secure the win. A win is a win, yes, but if you compare the two, Texas A&M's looks better. This could mean that the second edition of the rankings, releasing on Tuesday, November 11, could have the Aggies sitting at No. 2 behind Ohio State.
