While the Dallas Cowboys and Micah Parsons are at a contract impasse, it only makes sense that teams around the league would inquire about the All-Pro pass rusher.
While most of the attention the last few days has been on the Green Bay Packers thanks to internet speculation, every team in the league should have interest in a 26-year-old two-time First Team All-Pro player.
A recent report pointed to another team that recently checked in on the former Penn State products' availability.
Raiders Reportedly Called the Cowboys Regarding Micah Parsons
NFL insider Benjamin Allbright revealed some information regarding the ongoing saga between Parsons and the Cowboys.
"Dallas has had calls from several teams that include Green Bay and Las Vegas,” Allbright posted on X.
“But [the Cowboys] have not had discussions with anyone and they have not given Parsons permission to seek a trade or work out a contract with anyone."
The Las Vegas Raiders entering the mix as a potential suitor for Parsons is a bit head-scratching at first glance. They already have a superstar pass rusher in Maxx Crosby, and with the number of holes they have on their roster, it wouldn't make sense to give up premium draft assets right now.
However, when you take a step back and take a look at their division, having a pass rush duo of Crosby and Parsons chasing down Patrick Mahomes, Justin Herbert, and Bo Nix would be a nightmare for the rest of the AFC West.
If the Raiders want to kick off the Pete Carroll era on the right foot, having a defense that features those two monster bookending each other on the defensive line isn't a bad idea.
