After trading former Penn State standout Micah Parsons, the Dallas Cowboys' defense has been one of the worst in the NFL. There are some simple reasons why, but not having that pass rush that Parsons typically gave them is a major factor.

There are some things that are somewhat promising for the Cowboys, however, as they have an opportunity to trade some of the picks they acquired in the deal with the Green Bay Packers for him, which included two first-rounders in the trade.

The question now remains on who Jerry Jones wants to trade for, or if he even thinks the organization has a chance to compete this year and wants to move them.

Will the Cowboys make a trade after losing to the Bears?

According to Jones, when speaking after the Cowboys' brutal loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday, he stated that he wants to use the draft capital but has to find the right opportunity to do so.

"Well, of course, to use that capital, you've got to have the opportunity to use it," Jones said, per The Athletic's Jon Machota. "And frankly, no matter what I had seen in these first three ball games, if I had the opportunity to really do some good with those picks, I would do it. And we've got them, and that's one of the advantages for, if you will, making the trade."

Trading one of those first-round picks might make sense for the Cowboys, depending on who they get in return.

Still, it's also important to note that trading first-round picks right after moving Parsons might not be the best idea. There’s no reason to jump the gun unless they find a perfect deal.

Jones has a difficult decision to make and a lot of this is a reflection on him not paying the former Penn State star.
